The purpose is to assist people is accessing surgery rather than promotion of the surgery in general.
We can only offer information related to banding within The NHS, UK and EU. We do not offer any information related to surgery within the USA, Mexico, Canada or Australasia. Other sites are available for these areas.(see "Lists" for details).
Please note that we cannot enter into debates regarding the merits of surgeons present or absent on the "surgeons" page. There are many excellent surgeon who are not included on this website. Nonetheless, the featured surgeons have a proven track record of successes, ethical practice, thorough pre-operative screening, minimal complications, use of quality devices and commitment to follow up care.
